北風と太陽は水曜日に喧嘩をしました。
「僕の方が強いよ。」北風が言いました。
「あなたの方が力は強いかもしれないけど、私は強い優しさがあります。」太陽は言いました。

彼らは道路にいる男を見つけました。彼は紫のコートを着ています。
「競争をしよう。あの男からコートを脱がせた方が勝ちだ。」北風が言うと太陽も同意をしました。

北風から始めました。彼は激しく吹きました。
男はコートをきつく締めました。
北風が激しく長く吹けば吹くほど、男はコートをよりきつく締めました。
北風は全部で8回吹きましたが男はコートを脱ぎませんでした。

男は氷のように冷たくなり、北風は100歳のおじいさんのように疲れてしまいました。

次は太陽の番です。
彼は優しく男に光を送りました。
